After considerable delays, Team Atlantis has arrived in Yonaguni. As you can imagine, bringing over a dozen people and nearly a ton of equipment halfway around the world to a tiny island in the Pacific Ocean is not a particularly simple task.
Several legs of plane travel (including layovers) and a few long trips via sea vessel have finally resulted in the team's arrival at our base of operations. A few team members are still on their way but the research and filming has begun.
The diving and camera work so far have been extremely successful. Our experienced camera crew is awestruck by the beauty of the underwater sites. Also, they have noted the extreme intensity of the underwater current and surge.
Our webcast has been a bit delayed due to unforeseen satellite issues, but the first behind the scenes videos will be uploaded soon. Please enjoy our first video stills which are located on the following pages:
